A national conversation about the grid of the future
Co-hosted by Electricity Canada and the National Electricity Roundtable, The Last Mile will bring together leaders from across the electricity sector and beyond to discuss the important role local electricity systems play in supporting Canada’s future.
In her opening remarks, Mosley will share perspectives on the opportunities and challenges ahead for Canada’s electricity system, including the importance of planning for growth while maintaining the reliability and resilience customers depend on.
The event will also provide an opportunity for leaders from across Canada to discuss how collaboration, investment and long-term planning can help prepare the electricity system for the needs of the future.
Bringing a Toronto perspective to the national conversation
The themes being explored at The Last Mile are also playing out here in Toronto. As the city grows and electricity needs evolve, Toronto Hydro is investing in renewing aging infrastructure, modernizing the grid, and preparing the system to support growth and electrification. These are key priorities within Toronto Hydro’s 2025–2029 investment plan.
