There's a new friendly face strengthening Toronto Hydro's connection to the community. Meet Wattson, our official mascot.
Believed to have appeared during one of Toronto's historic snowstorms, quietly joining crews as they worked through the storm and never leaving their side, Wattson has been part of Toronto Hydro ever since.
A proud St. Bernard with an instinct to help, Wattson embodies care, reliability and connection. His name draws inspiration from Dr. John Watson, Sherlock Holmes’ trusted companion, known for loyalty, steadiness and always showing up when it matters most.
A good boy with a big heart
Calm, friendly and paw-sitively dependable, Wattson has a way of making people feel welcome wherever he goes, bringing a steady, reassuring presence (with just the right amount of tail wag energy!). Curious and observant, he’s always sniffing out opportunities to connect and ready to lend a helping paw whenever it’s needed.
At his core, Wattson believes in creating spaces where everyone feels included. He instinctively brings people together, making sure no one feels left out of the pack. His caring nature also shows up with a strong focus on safety and preparedness — always looking out for others and showing compassion.
Whether he’s popping up in the community or sticking close to his crew, one thing’s certain: wherever Toronto Hydro goes, Wattson isn’t far behind. He’s keeping watch, lifting spirits and reminding everyone that we've got this, together.
