At Toronto Hydro, supporting our city goes beyond delivering electricity. It's also about helping build stronger, more connected communities where people can thrive.

That’s why we’re proud to launch our 2026 Toronto Hydro Gives Back campaign in support of United Way Greater Toronto, continuing a tradition that has brought our employees together in support of the communities we serve every day.

A legacy of giving back

Since 1998, Toronto Hydro employees have raised more than $5 million for United Way Greater Toronto. Last year alone, employees contributed more than $215,000 through workplace giving, fundraising events and activities across the organization.

From climbing all 1,776 steps of the CN Tower to hosting art sales, bake sales and other grassroots fundraisers, our employees have found plenty of creative ways to turn giving back into action.

Helping make a difference across Toronto

The money raised helps United Way Greater Toronto support a network of more than 300 community agencies delivering over 700 programs across the region. These programs connect people and families with important resources, including food, housing, mental health services, employment supports and other essential community programs.

For us, supporting United Way is another way to help care for the communities we’re proud to serve every day.

Another year of giving back

Our 2026 campaign is now underway, with employees coming together through donations, fundraising events and activities across our work centres. This year, we’re aiming to raise $215,000 for United Way Greater Toronto and its network of community organizations.

As Toronto continues to grow and change, so do the needs of the people who call it home. We’re proud to continue our long-standing support of United Way Greater Toronto and help strengthen the programs and services that make a difference in communities across our city.
