Robert Wong is the Executive Vice-President and Chief Information Officer at Toronto Hydro-Electric Systems Limited. He has held the position since 2010, and is responsible for the overall delivery of information technology services for the organization, including cyber security, operational technology and telecommunications. Prior to his current role, Mr. Wong held the position of Executive Vice-President, Chief Information and Risk Officer, responsible for corporate strategic planning, enterprise risk management, corporate governance and business continuity, as well as the IT portfolio.
Having been with the organization since 1988, Robert has held progressive roles in the electrical distribution operations areas of the business, with experience in the areas of asset management, engineering planning, standards, design and construction, operations, environmental compliance and safety. In his role as a senior executive, Robert has also acquired extensive experience working with the company's Board of Directors in the areas of enterprise risk management, cyber security and corporate governance.
A professional engineer with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Toronto, Mr. Wong also holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the Schulich School of Business at York University.
