Toronto Hydro Coordinates Major Tree Planting at Pine Point Park

    Photo and Interview OpportunityTORONTO, April 18 /CNW/ -What:     Sixth annual tree planting - approximately 350 native trees and
              shrubs will be planted in Pine Point Park bringing the total to
              over 2,200!

              In addition to new plantings, the team will be taking part in
              the maintenance of last year's planting and cleaning the
              surrounding area of garbage and debris in support of Mayor
              Miller's 20-minute Makeover.

    Why:      Toronto Hydro believes that trees are a vital tool in helping
              to battle climate change. Over the past few years, Toronto
              Hydro and its neighbours have been supporting the vision of a
              revitalized Taylor Massey Creek near its Underwriters work
              location. With a work site in the west end, the company added
              Pine Point Park to the planting activities.

    Who:      More than 200 employees, friends and family of Toronto Hydro
              Corporation, City of Toronto and LEAF (Local Enhancement &
              Appreciation of Forests).

    When:     Sunday, April 19, 2009
              10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
