Toronto Hydro Crews Make Significant Progress, Power Restoration Work To Continue Overnight
TORONTO, April 26 /CNW/ - Toronto Hydro crews have continued to make significant progress today in restoring power to remaining areas of the City that were affected by power outages as a result of severe rain storm yesterday evening. As of approximately 8:30 p.m., Toronto Hydro System Control reports that approximately 700 customers remain without power in various areas of the City. Repair efforts continue to be largely focused in Scarborough on Finch Avenue East, as well as Midland Road and St. Clair Avenue East as numerous poles down caused extensive damage to those areas last night.
