Looking to connect a generation and/or storage facility, such as solar panels or a battery energy storage system, to Toronto Hydro's grid? Use our restricted feeder look-up tool to help determine whether the feeder in your area has enough short-circuit capacity available to accomodate your project, or if the feeder is currently restricted.
How it works
-
Enter a Toronto address into the search bar below.
Please include street number, street name, unit number and postal code.
-
The tool will advise whether or not the feeder in the area is restricted.
- If a feeder has no restrictions, please complete a Preliminary Consultation Information Request Form: Distributed Energy Resource Connections (PDF, 154 KB) and email it to DER@torontohydro.com for more details
- If a feeder is restricted, this means that it has no additional short-circuit capacity and we're currently unable to host DERs at this location. You may still submit a Preliminary Consultation Information Request Form: Distributed Energy Resource Connections (PDF, 154 KB) and email it to DER@torontohydro.com to explore your options
-
If your feeder is currently restricted, check back periodically.
Restrictions may be lifted over time. We encourage you to check back periodically to see if we may be able to accomodate your project.
