Contest Prizes
There are a total of thirty-five (35) prizes available to be won, as follows: Credit valued at $150.00 (CAD) will be applied to randomly selected entrants’ Toronto Hydro residential customer accounts (the “Account Credit”). The value of $150.00 was determined by taking the approximate average monthly usage of a Toronto Hydro residential customer at current rates. The Account Credit cannot be combined with any other offer. The Account Credit has no cash value and cannot be refunded. Ceasing to be a Toronto Hydro residential account holder will result in forfeiting any remaining Account Credit amount, if unused. All winners assume any and all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by entering, participating in this Contest, or the use or redemption of a prize. Prizes must be accepted as awarded. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute an alternate prize of equal or greater value if an advertised prize is unavailable at the time of award, including, without limitation but at the Sponsor’s sole discretion, a cash award. The prize will only be awarded to the person who is verified as the person assigned to the Toronto Hydro account associated with the selected Entry in question.
Odds of Winning
The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received in each Entry Period. Enrolling and un-enrolling in eBills will not result in any additional chances to win.

Selected Entrants (as defined below) will be required, as a condition of winning a prize, to correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, the Sponsor’s time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by through the Winner’s Release. Without limiting the generality of the forgoing, the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to administer an alternate test of skill as it deems appropriate based on the circumstances and/or to comply with applicable law.

The Contest Period is divided into seven (7) Entry Periods and all entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. on the last day of an Entry Period to be eligible for the random prize draw associated with that Entry Period. For each Entry Period, five (5) potential winners will be selected from the eligible entries for that Entry Period within seven (7) business days following the end of the Entry Period. The potential winners will be selected at 1 p.m. EST at the offices of the Sponsor at 14 Carlton Street, Toronto, Ontario, Canada M5B 1K5 (the “Draw Date”). The Sponsor, or an employee, agent or other representative of the Sponsor, will conduct a random draw from all eligible entries received before the end of the Entry Period and select the potential winners (each a “Selected Entrant”). Selected Entrants will be deemed winners if they meet all of the eligibility criteria set out in these Contest Rules. If a Selected Entrant does not meet the eligibility criteria, they will be disqualified and will not receive a prize and another entrant will be selected by way of a random draw from the remaining eligible Entries. Before being declared a winner, Selected Entrants will be required to: (i) respond to the notice that they have been selected as a potential winner within four (4) business days of the notice, (ii) correctly answer the Sponsor’s skill-testing question; (iii) provide satisfactory identification and proof of eligibility; (iv) sign and return the Sponsor’s Declaration of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release form (“Winner Release”) within three (3) business days of receipt of Sponsor’s Winner Release form; and (v) comply with all other Contest Rules, all in the sole discretion of Sponsor. The Sponsor or its designated representative will make a minimum of two (2) attempts to contact the Selected Entrant in the manner described above within ten (10) business days of the random draw for each Entry Period. If the Selected Entrant cannot be contacted within ten (10) business days of the Contest Draw Date, or if there is a return of any notification as undeliverable; then the Selected Entrant may, in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor, be disqualified and forfeit all rights to the prize, and the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion and time permitting, to randomly select a new alternate eligible Selected Entrant from among the remaining eligible entries, in which case the foregoing provisions of this section shall apply to such newly Selected Entrant. Sponsor is not responsible for the failure for any reason whatsoever of a Selected Entrant to receive notification or for the Sponsor to receive a Selected Entrant’s response. Within three (3) business days of receipt of the completed Winner Release, Toronto Hydro will notify the winner of how the Account Credit will be applied to their residential customer account. No correspondence will be entered into except with Selected Entrants. Proof of transmission (for example, screenshots or captures) does not constitute proof of Entry or receipt of an Entry.
