Electrical Inspection is Mandatory

All renovations or additions to your home that involve your electric service require an electrical inspection. This is true for small and big jobs, whether you've hired an electrician or whether you've done it yourself.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY AUTHORITY

Electrical inspections are carried out by the not-for-profit Electrical Safety Authority (ESA). The ESA enforces the Ontario Electrical Safety Code, which is there to ensure your safety. Be sure all electrical work is clearly visible to the inspector. Do not cover wiring with drywall. For details, application forms and information on applicable fees, visit the ESA Web site.
