Until June 30, 2017, when you help your customers upgrade the inefficient permanent split capacitor motor (PSC) in their forced air heating system to an electronically commutated motor (ECM), they'll receive a $250 rebate. Your customers will benefit from a more energy-efficient, less costly system – and the $250 rebate can help you close the deal.

Do you qualify?

To participate, you must be an HCI contractor. You must also:

  • Install a qualifying ECM within Toronto Hydro service’s area
  • Complete the installation by June 30, 2017
  • Provide the homeowner’s contact information for verification

How does it work?

Three simple steps to get the ECM rebate:

step 1

Supply and install a qualifying ECM within Toronto Hydro’s service area by June 30, 2017.

step 2

Your customer completes and mails the incentive form by July 31, 2017 to GreenSaver, our program contractor.

step 3

Your customers should receive their incentive cheque four to eight weeks after we receive your form.

Any existing gas, propane or oil furnaces with a PSC motor can be retrofitted with one of the following qualifying ECMs:
