There are many ways to define 'social responsibility'. For some people, it means offering financial support to those less fortunate; for others, it means maintaining good relations with the local community. For Toronto Hydro, social responsibility is a combination of the two - a way of continuing to forge strong bonds with customers and in the community, and also of
'doing the right thing'.

Assured Indicators

 

Social responsibility assured indicators include Community Involvement expenditures which are largely focused on charitable donations made to community based organizations.

SAIDI and SAIFI

 

In 2010, THESL’s SAIDI was 1.29 hours (77.4 minutes) compared to 1.38 hours (82.6 minutes) in 2009. The 2010 result compared favourably to the 2009 CEA average of 4.20.
