G4-13 G4-15 G4-17 G4-28 G4-29 G4-30 G4-31 G4-33 About this Report This report covers the 2014 calendar year. It was prepared in accordance with the G4 Sustainability Reporting Guidelines developed by Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and includes additional disclosures required by the Electric Utilities Sector Supplement. This is the first report that we’ve published using the GRI G4 guidelines. In addition to GRI, we use the following key international protocols and standards to guide our activities: 8 TORONTO HYDRO 2014 CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY REPORT ISO 31000: 2009 — Risk Management — a guide to implement our Enterprise Risk Management framework whereby we identify, assess, treat, monitor and review organizational risks CEA Sustainable Electricity Program — an industry-wide sustainability initiative developed and implemented by CEA members, largely based on ISO 26000 and ISO 14001 standards OHSAS 18001 — an internationally recognized standard for establishing occupational health and safety management systems Excellence Innovation and Wellness Standard — a standard developed by Excellence Canada for organizational performance This report is available in a full-length PDF and can be downloaded from our website at torontohydro.com/responsibility. Going forward, we have decided to publish our Corporate Responsibility Report every two years. Our last published report was for 2012, however we filed a 2013 Environmental Report to the City of Toronto, which is also available on our website at torontohydro.com/responsibility. There were no significant changes1, as defined by GRI G4, from our previous report except for our organizational boundaries2 related to greenhouse gas inventory. More information about this can be found in the Environmental Footprint chapter of this report. 1 According to GRI G4, significant changes are defined as fluctuations in an organization’s size (including facility openings, closing and expansions,) structure, ownership or supply chain. For more information, please visit globalreporting.org/resourcelibrary/GRIG4-Part2-Implementation-Manual.pdf 2 As defined by the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, our organizational boundaries refer to facilities that Toronto Hydro Corporation owns and controls.
