TORONTO HYDRO 2014 CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY REPORT 67 INTRODUCTION MATERIALITY AND STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT OUR WORKFORCE SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS AND OPERATIONS OUR ENVIRONMENTAL FOOTPRINT SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITY GOVERNANCE AND ETHICS Supporting students Toronto Hydro awards scholarships to support students in electricity-related fields, including engineering, biology, occupational health and safety, sciences and business. In 2014, we awarded 22 scholarships to CUE students, and 64% of recipients were women. We also distributed a Toronto Hydro Co-op Award to a deserving Georgian College student who demonstrated proficiency during their work term. Strategic sponsorships We’re committed to helping make Toronto a vibrant and healthy, world-class city. We believe that strategic sponsorships can make a positive and lasting impact for communities across the city.
