Toronto Hydro 2012 CR Report

OUR ECONOMIC PERFORMANCE OUR GOVERNANCE, COMPLIANCE AND BUSINESS CONDUCT In 2012, Toronto Hydro’s conservation efforts yielded over 50 MW of peak summer demand savings, which is the largest achievement by any local distribution company in the province. The incentives provided by the Conservation and Demand Management (CDM) programs are important because they allow our customers to invest in energy efficiency projects that help them control their energy costs. In addition, these projects support the provincial goal of deferring investment in expensive generation capacity and also contribute to the local economy by providing skilled jobs. It is truly rewarding to be able to assist our diverse customer base in achieving their energy efficiency goals. Michael Marchant, P.
