As a condition of our distribution license, we have been assigned conservation targets by the OPA . Toronto Hydro has made considerable strides towards our conservation goals; in fact, we have achieved 79 per cent of our energy savings target. Conservation Program Results saveONenergy Results Conservation Programs MW Saved* Total 2012 Results*: 116,900 MWh and a total demand reduction of 53.2 MW TORONTO HYDRO 2012 corporate respnosibility report 63 The OPA is responsible for the design, delivery and funding of CDM programs (also known as saveONenergyOM programs within the province). These programs are available to licensed electricity distributors. As a registered participant, Toronto Hydro receives funding from the OPA to deliver these programs within Toronto Hydro’s service territory. Through this funding model, Toronto Hydro invested approximately $28.3 million in CDM programs last year.
