These include PowerUp, which will provide a significant upgrade to aging infrastructure throughout the city, and numerous incentive programs to promote energy efficiency for business and residential customers
At the same time, smart meters are rolling out across Toronto to enable time-of-use billing, which encourages the most efficient use of electricity.
Simultaneously, Toronto Hydro Energy Services has rolled out a significant Demand Response offer for commercial and industrial customers. The program is designed to provide an opportunity for customers to receive financial benefits for actively participating in the Ontario electricity market by providing demand reduction when electricity demand is at its peak throughout the year.
