Residential conservation

Energy-efficiency and conservation programs are now delivered by the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO). The following programs are currently available to eligible residential customers.

CoolSaver™ program

The IESO's Save on Energy has launched a new program in collaboration with Toronto Hydro that offers residential customers located in Toronto's Richview South area incentives for air conditioner tune-ups, central air conditioner replacements, portable dehumidifiers and smart thermostats.

For more information and to see if you qualify for the CoolSaver™ program, please visit saveonenergy.ca/coolsaver.

Peak Perks™ program

Save on Energy has launched a new Peak Perks™ program that provides residential customers with the opportunity to get rewarded for reducing their energy use when demand for electricity in Ontario is high during the summer months.

If you have an eligible smart thermostat connected to your central air conditioning system or heat pump unit, signing up for the program could provide you with a $75 financial incentive in 2023. You'll also receive $20 for each additional year you stay enrolled in the program, starting in 2024.

For more information about the Peak Perks™ program, please visit saveonenergy.ca/peakperks.

Energy Affordability Program

Residential customers may qualify for free home energy-efficient upgrades through the Energy Affordability Program (EAP). Two types of support are available: comprehensive support and energy-saving kits.

For information regarding the EAP and to submit your application, please call the IESO at 1-844-770-3148 or visit saveonenergy.ca/EAP.
